Other Specifications

Images:

•DCS, EPS, JPEG, or TIFFS are OK.
• Never JPEG a DCS file.
• Never place a JPEG file in Illustrator, as it won't always work. There is a work-around by replacing it with an EPS file.
• Crop down images to approximately the cropping size in the document.
• Total ink density should not be lower than 300% and up to 350% UCR.
• Total ink density in any one area must not exceed 340%
• All images must be CMYK unless they are Duotones or Tri-tones
• All Duotones and Tri-tones must have the exact same colour names as the native document file.
• Do not have extra channels in files.
• Create all close-cuts in Photoshop as Clipping Paths.

Additional Information:

• All corrugated labels and all bleeds must extend a minimum of 1/4 inch beyond all scores and knife cuts.
• All critical copy should be placed a minimum of 1/4 inch from scores and knife cuts.
• An Acrobat PDF file should be sent if no hard copy is supplied.
• Rich black would have a 30% cyan under it to enhance the black.
• Check that all board jobs have enough room on lead edge for bleed plus press gripper

Tiff-It / Postscript Separated Files:

• Tiff/it files must be for four colour jobs only.
• Separated postscript files - customer must ask for Creo PPD driver which we would email to them.
• DCS 2 files must be 2400 dpi
